AirStrip Technologies Names CEO

San Antonio-based AirStrip Technologies, which develops mobile medical software applications, reported Wednesday afternoon that it has named Alan W. Portela as CEO of the company. Portela was already on the firm's board, and replaces company founder Gene Powell. Powell remains Chair of the board and will remain involved with the firm's operations. Portela has previously served at Hybrid Clinical Transformation, and CliniComp, Intl. AirStrip is venture backed by Sequoia Capital.
