WhaleShark Media Buys UK Coupon Site

Austin-based WhaleShark Media said this morning that it has acquired eConversions, Ltd., the operator of the VoucherCodes.co.uk, a UK-based coupon site. WhaleShark said VoucherCodes.co.uk has four million subscribers to its weekly coupon code newsletter. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. WhaleShark said the buy will extend the firm into Europe. WhaleShark Media is run by Cotter Cunningham, and is venture backed by Austin Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, Adams Street Partners, and Google Ventures.
