HomeAway Names Software Head

Austin-based HomeAway, the online vacation marketplace operator, said today that it has promoted Bill Furlong as Vice President of HomeAway Software for Professionals. Furlong was most recently CEO of vacation rental software provider Escapia, which HomeAway acquired in 2010. HomeAway said that Furlong will move from Seattle to Austin as part of the promotion. Furlong also has previously served at Mpire and Cranium.
