Dell, SUSE Linux In Partnership

Enterprise users of the SUSE Linux Enterprise operating system running on Dell hardware now have the option to pre-load and pre-configure their systems with the Linux distribution, the two said today, after inking a partnership deal. According to Round Rock-based Dell and German Linux vendor SUSE, Dell's OEM Solutions division will begin offering up SUSE Linux Enterprise Server on any Dell-standard hardware in its portfolio. The two said SUSE is the first Linux vendor to become part of its OEM Technology Partner Program. SUSE is a vendor of one a number of different Linux "flavors", which include different software components and configuration options.
