Spiceworks Adds Vendor Catalogs, RFQs

Austin-based Spiceworks is looking to make it easier for IT managers to get RFQs from their vendors, through a new feature in the software. The company--which makes a popular IT software product which also incorporates community and social functionality--said it now lets users search for more than 500,000 IT products from its partners, to build out purchase lists and RFQs. The firm said that the software now allow users to create lists of products for their RFQ, and send that to partners such as Dell and CDW. The new feature also allows users to send those RFQs via email to other vendors not partnering with Spiceworks.
