AirWalk Communications Sold To Ubee

Richardson-based AirWalk Communications, the venture-backed provider of small cell and femtocell technology, has been sold to Ubee Interactive, Ubee said today, in an asset deal. Ubee said that it has acquired "substantially all" of the assets of AirWalk, to create a new subsidiary called UbeeAirWalk. Financial terms of the acquisition were ont announced. Ubee also said it has hired most of the team at AirWalk's product and engineering organization, to work on products for the company. AirWalk had raised somewhere around $45M for its efforts, and was venture backed by Alta Berkeley Venture Partners, Duchossois Technology Ventures, Korea Global IT Fund, Nedelco, Sevin Rosen Funds, and TL Ventures.
