Mass Relevance Taps Golfsmith's Corey As Marketing Chief
Austin-based Mass Relevance, the startup headed by Sam Decker, said today that it has snagged Matt Corey, former CMO of Golfsmith, as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Corey has previously also served at The Bombay Company, and The Home Depot. Corey headed up efforts at Golfsmith in adopting Bazaarvoice's Ratings and Reviews products. Decker was previously part of Bazaarvoice. Mass Relvance is backed by Austin Ventures and Floodgate. Mass Relevance is developing a software platform aimed at helping brands to engage with consumers on the social web; the firm said its clients include Target, NBC Sports, New York Giants, MSNBC, The Oscars, Universal Music Group, Victoria’s Secret, Golf Digest, and Al Jazeera.
