SailPoint Acquires Cloud Software Firm

Austin-based SailPoint, the developer of identity management software, said today that it has made a strategic acquisition. The firm said it has acquired Cloudmasons, a developer of cloud and mobile access management software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. SailPoint said the acquisition was made in January. The announcement came as the firm said it has nearly doubled its bookings in Q1 of 2012 compared to Q1 of last year, although it did not disclose any financial details of those quarters. The firm says is now has more than 200 employees and has more than 150 customers worldwide.
