Cottonwood Technology Fund Makes Investment
A venture capital firm with offices in El Paso has made an investment in a renewable biofuels company. Cottonwood Technology Fund, an early stage, technology commercialization fund headed by David Blivin, led a $1.5M, Series A funding of Incitor, Incitor announced late Monday. Incitor said the funds would go towards its technology, which uses low temperature chemical processes to break down biomass into petrochemical replacements. Cottonwood Techonlogy Fund said it is aimed at cultivating the entrepreneurial community of the Paso del Norte region running along the Rio Grande River from Los Alamos, New Mexico, to El Paso, Texas.
