Mavenir Systems Deploys With MetroPCS

Richardson-based Mavenir Systems, which provides telecom equipment for mobile backbones, said today that its mOne Convergence Platform product has been deployed as part of the first, commercially available Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service, announced by MetroPCS earlier this week. Mavenir did not say how big of a deployment the launch was, but said a "key part" of the MetroPCS rollout was using its platform. Mavenir said its equiment helps address the challenge of migrating subscribers and services to 4G.
