Breedlove Acquired By Care.com

Austin's Breedlove & Associates, which provides household payroll, tax, and compliance services, has been acquired by online care and health site Care.com, Care.com said today. Breedlove, which specializes in providing services to handle "nanny taxes"--the payment of taxes on household employees--will become a subsidiary of Care.com. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Care.com said that Stephanie and Bill Breedlove, who founded the firm in Austin in 1992, will continue to run Breedlove. Care.com said that Breedlove & Associates currently serves more than 10,000 active clients, and processes approximately $20M in payroll per month for families.
