GENBAND Offers $45,000 In Developer Contest

Frisco-based GENBAND, which develops IP telecommunications equipment, said it is offering up a hefty set of prizes for its second annual GENFuzion Developer Challenge. The company said it will award $20,000, $15,000 and $10,000 to the top three apps developed for the contest by third party developers. The contest is aimed at expanding the number of third party applications using its GENBAND A2 Unified Communications Application Server. This year, the firm also has partnered with Polycom, to offer additional incentives for applications which tie into Polycom's video and IP handsets.
