Macheen Gets Investment From Qualcomm
Austin-based Macheen, the provider of mobile, broadband connection services for electronic devices, has scored a strategic investment from wireless company Qualcomm, the company said this morning. Size of the investment round was not announced. Macheen develops a service which provides constant connectivity to the Internet for connected devices, which does not require users to pay for a broadband Internet connection. Macheen's services are being used by such customers as Dell and Lenovo. The funding comes on top of existing investments from North Bridge Venture Capital, Mercury Fund, and GemVentures, along with angels. More information »
