DreamIt Ventures Selects First Austin Class

DreamIt Ventures, the startup accelerator program which set up shop at Austin's Capital Factory in September, has selected its first class of startups into its Austin program, announcing Thursday that it has accepted Doccaster (event analytics); Fig Labs (cloud-based math); Newscastic (story marketplace for journalists); Pincam (tool for creating video highlights); Planana (social marketing for events); Seer (information organization); Stereotypes (social networking for music); Trendkite (media monitoring); and Yevoo (live social video broadcasting) to the program. The firms will be working on their startups until SXSW, where the companies will be demonstrating their companies at a demo day. DreamIt's efforts in Austin are run by Kerry Rupp.
