Handshakez Nabs $3.6M For Better Customer Collaboration
A team of Austin enterprise software veterans think they have a new way to help companies better manage customer relationships--and now have the funding to make it happen. Handshakez, a new, enterprise software startup co-founded by Jason Wesbecher (former VP Strategic Accounts at Jive Software), Scott Brittain (former VP Engineering at Solarwinds), and Michael Osborne (former Chief Revenue Officer at Bazaarvoice), said it has raised $3.6M in a Series A funding round.
The round was led by Austin Ventures, and also included First Round Capital, FLOODGATE, CrunchFund, Valhalla Partners and Thinktiv. The firm said the new funding will go towards its cloud-based software, which it says creates "private, collaborative spaces" for clients, helping them access presentations, whitepapers, videos, and new, tap into activity streams, comments, polls, and more.
Handshakez software essentially creates a "private showroom" of relevant, business content aimed at customers, which can help salespeople connect and provide more information to current and prospective clients.
