RetailMeNot Swallows Dutch Coupon Site

Austin-based RetailMeNot, the online coupon site led by Cotter Cuttingham, said this morning that it has acquired a Dutch online coupon site, Actiepagina.nl. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. RetailMeNot--which until yesterday was known as WhaleShark Media--said that the founder of Actipagina, Maurice Buijs, will become general manage of RetailMeNot's Dutch operations. RetailMeNot says the buy brings the company to a total of 330 employees. The firm now has coupon sites in the UK, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. It's been a big week for RetailMeNot, with a name change, hiring of bankers for an IPO, and now an acquisition.
