Dell Gets Two Competing Bids From Blackstone, Icahn
Things are heating up in the effort to take Round Rock-based Dell private, as the firm reported today that it has received two, alternative acquisition proposals to acquire the company. One comes from private equity firm Blackstone, and the other from Carl Icahn. The bids are in addition to the current bid from Michael Dell and Silver Lake Partners. The Blackstone bid offers up $14.25 or more per share for Dell. Icahn offered up as much as $15.00 per share for Dell. The Silver Lake deal is currently priced at $13.65 per share in cash for Dell.
