Safarious Looks To Raise $1.5M in Funding Round

Dallas-based Safarious, which is developing an online social networking and community site for those interested in wildlife and adventure, is in the midst of raising $1.5M in a funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm today. Details on the funding round have not yet been released. Safarious, which is led by Clay Knight, lets the adventurous network with people in the adventure travel industry, view photos of animals, tours, and travel; participate in discussions, ask questions, and more. The filing indicates the firm has raised at least $200,000 in the funding round.
