Austin Technology Incubator Hails $35M In New Funding For Companies
The Austin Technology Incubator, the high tech startup incubator located at UT Austin, says that so far, in Q1 of 2013, its portfolio companies and graduates have raised more than $35M. That's a big haul for the incubator, which is approaching its 25th year of serving the region. According to the ATI, the funding came at ATI members and recent graduates Spredfast, Savara Pharmaceuticals, Xeris Pharmaceuticals, Admittance Technologies, and WheelInnovationz, all of whom raised funding in Q1. The most dollars came from social marketing software firm Spredfast, which had a big $18M funding round last quarter. The Austin Technology Incubator is run by Isaac Barchas.
