LoJack Ties With Wireless Equipment Firm On Asset Tracking Technology
Dallas-based LoJack SCI, which develops asset tracking and supply chain tracking products, has tapped the developer of the popular consumer MiFi wireless hotspots for a machine-to-machine (M2M) technology deal. According to the companies, Novatel Wireless will supply its components to LoJack for a new cargo and asset tracking offering. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, however, Novatel said there will be a recurring revenue share to the firm generated from LoJack's SCI service offerings using its technology. Novatel is a developer of wireless modems and hotspots.
