MEDHOST Expands Software Portfolio

Plano-based MEDHOST is in a big expansion of its software portfolio, the company said this morning, with a new product aimed at surgical care. The firm said its new Advanced Perioperative Information Management System (PIMS) covers the continuum of surgical care, from initial consult, complete anesthesia and nurse charting and decision support to post-surgery discharge. Pricing on the new product was not announced. MEDHOST said the software was originally developed by Vanderbilt University Medical Center; it acquired the product through the acquisition of Acuitec, LLC by HealthTech.
