Dell Aims At Hyperscale Data Centers
Round Rock-based Dell said this week that it has opened up a new "innovation center" focused on hyperscale data center computing. Hyperscale data center computing is the broad term used to describe cloud computing and big data efforts, and the thousands of servers used in those efforts. According to Dell, it has opened up the Evergreen Innovation Center at its campus in Austin for develop future, hyperscale data center solutions. Among the first customers for the service is eBay, which Dell asys is working with the center to explore next-generation engineering concepts and technology development.
