Bazaarvoice Swaps CEO

Austin-based ratings and review software provider Bazaarvoice said Wednesday that it is swapping out its CEO, with current CEO Stephen Collins departing the firm and its board on January 31st. Bazaarvoice said that former Convio CEO Gene Austin--who is currently President at the company--will take the helm as CEO, and has already joined the company's board of directors. Austin was CEO of Convio for nine years, and headed up Convio through its IPO. He also has served at BMC Software, Dell, and Compaq Computer Corp.
