AT&T In Deal With Tesla To Power Connected Cars

Dallas-based AT&T has inked a deal to power the connected car services for electric auto maker Tesla, the two said Tuesday. According to the two, AT&T will power Tesla's remote engine diagnostics, telematics, Internet connectivity, and other infotainment features on the electric cars. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Tesla Motors is led by tech moguls Elon Musk. AT&T said it has already been providing mobile Internet access to a number of domestic and foreign automobile makers.
