Bigcommerce Plans To Hire 100 In Austin

In another big local hiring expansion, Austin-based Bigcommerce says it plans to hire 100 people by the end of the year, as it looks to expand its technical support and technical operations. According to Bigcommerce, it has launched off a big recruiting push to hire 100 employees by the end of 2014, an expansion which has been driven by its $40M Series C funding last year from Revolution Growth. Bigcommerce develops e-commerce software aimed at the small and medium sized business market. The company said it already has 270 employees, split between 190 employees in Austin, and 80 in Sydney.
