The Entrepreneur's Fund Taps IBM, Webify Vet For Austin Office
In a move that boosts the availbility of capital in Austin, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm, The Entrepreneur's Fund, disclosed Thursday that it has opened up a new Austin office for the firm, hiring IBM Watson veteran Manoj Saxena to head up investments in local startups. According to multiple reports, The Entrepreneur's Fund has already invested in three local startups focused on bringing technology to market using IBM's Watson artificial intelligence technology. Saxena was head of Austin software developer Webify Solutions, which IBM acquired back in 2006.
