Phunware Buys Simplikate

Austin-based Phunware, which is led by Alan Knitowski, said today that it has acquired Simplikate, a provider of mobile, e-commerce apps. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Simplikate, which is based in Miami, Florida, provides its apps for malls, airports and luxury real estate companies. Phunware said Simplikate will remain in Miami, and will be a gateway to new business in Central, South and Latin America.
