Dell, Texas A&M Health Science Center Team On Healthcare Tech Education
Round Rock-based Dell and the Texas A&M Health Science Center (TAMHSC) said today they are launching a joint effort to help teach information technology to healthcare workers and caregivers. According to the two, they have created a new, health technology academy, which will specifically help teach the healthcare workforce around health information technology. The two said the new effort is an attempt to bridge a "digital divide" that exists in the health industry. Other details of the effort were not announced, but the two said they have a goal of launching a technologically focused, continuing medical education program later this year.
