Mavenir Adds Voice Mobility Feature
Richardson, Texas-based Mavenir, the developer of hardware and software products for the mobile telecommunications market, reported it has added a new feature for its Evolved Packet Data Gateway (ePDG) product. The company said it has added mobility to Voice over Wi-Fi, allowing companies to support the move of voice calls between LTE and Wi-Fi. Mavenir said the support allows companies to provide constant access to high speed data and voice, as users are moving between LTE coverage areas and Wi-Fi at public hotspots, or also in the home or office.
