Idera Buys Uptime Software
Houston-based Idera, the developer of application and server management software, reported this morning that it has acquired Uptime Software, a provider of IT systems monitoring software. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Idera said it will use the buy to expand into the Application Performance Monitoring ((APM) and IT Operations Management markets. Idera said the buy is its third in the last 16 months--the company also recently acquired Precise Software and CopperEgg. Idera was advised by SignalHill and Horzepa, Spiegal Associates PC in the deal; Uptime was advised by Arbor Advisors. Uptime was based in Toronto.
