Pivot3 Claims Surge In Growth

Austin-based Pivot3, which develops appliance which combine virtual servers, storage, and networking infrastructure, says that it has seen "record demand" for its products in Q3. The company--which did not disclose any finances--said it now has over 1,200 customers using its products, with over 12,000 products in the field. Pivot3 said the growth comes as it expands beyond its first market in video surveillance, into areas such as healthcare, transportation and government. Pivot3 is led by Ron Nash. The company raised a $12M funding round from S3 Ventures, InterWest Partners and Mesirow Financial in August.
