Digital Turbine Merges With Appia

Austin-based Digital Turbine, a developer of application management tools used by mobile operators, said today that it has merged with Appia, a provider of mobile user acquisition services. Digital Turbine said that the stock-for-stock merger with Digital Turbine providing 1 million shares of its stock--or approximately 33 percent of the combined company--to Appia shareholders. San Francisco-based Appia was venture backed by Venrock, Trident Capital, DCM, and TomorrowVentures.
