Honest Dollar Lands $3M For Affordable SMB Retirement Plans

Austin-based Honest Dollar, which was founded by William Hurley and Henry Yoshida, said over the weekend that it has raised $3M in a seed financing round. The funding came from Expansive Ventures, Formation 8 and Core Innovation Capital. Honest Dollar--which is based on Congress Ave--said it is looking to help "re-engineer" retirement for small and medium sized businesses, letting them set up a retirement plan for their company for just $10 per employee per month. Hurley was previously Chief Innovation Officer at Chaotic Moon.
