Vista Equity Sells Majority Of Websense To Raytheon
Vista Equity Partners has sold a majority of Austin-based Websense, the developer of IT security software, to defense giant Raytheon, the companies said Monday. The deal has an enterprise value of $2.3 billion, according to the firms. Raytheon will invest $1.57 billion in cash and contribute the assets of Raytheon Cyber Products to create a new, combined cybersecurity company. Websense relocated its headquarters here to Austin in February of 2014.
