HomeAway Shakes Up Executive Staff

Austin-based vacation rental marketplace operator HomeAway is in a major shakeup of its executive staff, saying that a number of its executive are resigning, and the company is in a "realignment" of its leadership structure. HomeAway said Thursday that Brent Bellm, its President and Chief Operating Officer, is resigning to "pursue other opportunities", with CEO Brian Sharples taking over Belm's President role. Tom Hale, the company's Chief Product Officer, assumes the role as Chief Operating Officer. In addition, HomeAway said that Carl Shepherd, who is a co-founder of HomeAway, and the company's Chief Strategy and Development Officer, will be retiring in the second half of the year. HomeAway also said it has named Jon Gray, the company's SVP of Americas as Chief Revenue OFficer; Jeff Hurst, current VP Global e-Commerce as Chief Strategy Officer; and Jeff Mosler, SVP of Global Customer Experience, becomes Chief Service Offficer. HomeAway said all of those appointments were made due to those leadership departures.
