Crossroads Systems Sued By Dot Hill
Austin-based Crossroads Systems, which develops data archiving, security, and other related technology, says it has been sued by competing data storage developer Dot Hill. Crossroads said Dot Hill filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, alleging patent infringement by the company. Crossroads said that it believes it can prove the "lawsuit is baseless" and that it believes the lawsuit is retaliation for a pending lawsuit against Dot Hill filed by the company for failing to pay license fees due to the company. Crossroads has been on an aggressive patent lawsuit effort, saying it has additional, patent infringement suits against Oracle, Cisco, NetApp, Quantum, and Huawei.
