SailPoint Buys Whitebox Security

Austin-based identity and access management software developer SailPoint said Wednesday that it has acquired Whitebox Security, a provider of security tools to protect sensitive data from internal and external threats. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. SailPoint said that Whitebox's team will join the company as part of the acquisition. Whitebox Security was based in Sunnyvale, California, and was founded in 2007; the company also has a significant presence in Israel.
