infinite io Raises $3.4M For Storage Migration Technology

Austin-based infinite io, a new startup in the data storage area, said Thursday that it has raised $3.4M in a funding round. The funding was led by Chicago Ventures. infinite io is led by Mark Cree. According to the company, it is developing a network-based, storage controller which handles data migration, helping to move inactive data to the cloud, and otherwise managing the allocation of flash memory, storage systems, and cloud storage to reduce costs and improving performance for users.
