Pivot3 Gets Two Patents
Austin-based converged IT infrastructure technology developer Pivot3 said Tuesday that it has received two new patents, covering its technology. Pivot3 said it recently received U.S. Patent No 9,086,821 for its "Method and system for execution of applications in conjunction with RAID" and U.S. Patent No. 9,146,695 for "Method and System for Distributed RAID." The company says it now has a total of 22 patents. The first '821 patent was actually issued on July 21st, and names William C. Galloway and Ryan A. Callison as inventors; the patent was filed for in January of 2013. The second, '695 patent was issued yesterday, on September 29th, and names Galloway, Callison, as well as Greg J. Pellegrino and Choon-Seng Tang as inventors; that patent was filed in September of 2013. Both patents were filed by the Sprinkle IP Law Group for Pivot3.
