SolarWinds Eyes Acquisitions After Go-Private Deal

Austin-based SolarWinds is now officially a private company again, and appears to be on the prowl for strategic acquisitions, after the acquisition of the company by private equity investors Silver Lake and Thoma Bravo completed on Friday. The deal, which was worth approximately $4.5 billion, removed SolarWinds from the New York Stock Exchange. The two private equity investors paid $60.10 per share in cash for SolarWinds. The companies agreed to the deal back in October. The companies said the go-private move will help the company pursue a "more assertive, long-term organic growth and acquisition plan", according to investor Thoma Bravo.
