LiveOak Adds Velidi As Venture Partner In Dallas

Austin-based LiveOak Venture Partners, the venture capital firm founded by Ben Scott, Krishna Srinivasan, and Venu Shamapant, said this morning that it has added a new venture partner, Dr. Ram Velidi, who will focus on the Dallas market for the $109M fund. According to LiveOak, its founders--all of whom had been at Austin Ventures--have a 15-year history with Velidi, who was an investment partner at Sevin Rosen Funds, and also has served as an executive for such companies as Net.Orange/NantHealth and Xybridge/ZHNE. LiveOak said Velidi will specifically focus on identifying and working closely with new opportunities in the DFW Metroplex.
