Xplore Technologies Wins Fire-Rescue Department

Austin-based rugged tablet computer manufacturer Xplore Technologies reported this week that it has scored a win with what it says is one of the largest, fire-rescue departments in the nation. Xplore said it will supply more than 200 of its Android XSLATE D10 rugged tablets to that department. Name of the customer, and financial impact of the win was not announced. Xplore's XSLATE currently runs Android 5.1, Lollipop, and uses an Intel Atom CPU.
