Sharp BancSystems Acquired By Nymbus

Bedford, Texas=based banking and financial systems software developer Sharp BancSystems has been acquired by Miami-based, financial API provider Nymbus, the two announced this morning. Financial details of thed eal were not disclosed. Sharp BancSystems was founded in 1987. The two companies said that the acquisition came about as a result of a the need for significant capital to "rewrite and replace" Sharp BancSystem's back-end, core systems with "something more nimble" in 2014, and resulting business discussions.
