Gyst Launches Business Texting Tool On Android

Austin-based business texting app developer Gyst says it has launched its app on the Google Play Store, as it looks to extend its tools to another platform. Gyst, which said it is offering up both a free version of the software and a "Pro" version for 99 cents per month, says its smartphone app combines text, contacts, calendars, and tasks, to help business users more productive. The company says it is looking to replace native, built-in texting apps, which are designed for social use but aren't suitable for business use. Gyst is led by Bruce Kornfeld, a former executive from Compellent Technologies.
