UnboundId Acquired By Ping Identity

Austin-based UnboundID, the developer of customer identity and access managements oftware led by CEO Steve Schoaff, has been acquired by Ping Identity, a developer of user identity management software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. As part of the acquisition, Schoaff becomes Chief Product Officer at Ping Identity, and will be responsible for all of engineering and product management for the joint company. Ping Identity is owned by Vista Equity Partners, which acquired the company in June. Ping Identity is led by Andre Durand. UnboundId was venture backed by OpenView Venture Partners and Silverton Partners.
