Pivot3 Gets Cisco Cert

Austin-based Pivot3 says it has received a Cisco compatibility certification, of its vSTAC OS software, with Cisco's Unified Computing System and UCS Mini computing platforms. Cisco's Unified Computing System (UCS) is a collection of blade and rack servers, edge scale computing, converged infrastructure, other hyperconverged infrastructure, aimed at use in private cloud, big data, and desktop virtualization. Pivot3 says its certification eliminates the need to run an external SAN connected to the Cisco UCS.
