SimplyTapp Debuts Mobile Payment App

Austin-based SimplyTapp, the developer of near field contact (NFC) and proximity payment software, has launched a new mobile payments app called Gane. According to SimplyTapp, the new software runs on Android and iOS, and can be used to transfer money to others, to send and collect payments, and links with social messaging platforms. SimplyTapp said that it provides real-time access to funds, which is better than most existing apps, which take two to three days to fund payments. SimplyTapp is venture backed by Verizon Ventures.
