WP Engine Upgrades To PHP 7

Austin-based WP Engine announced this morning that it has opened up availability to PHP 7, to all of its customers. The company, which offers up hosted WordPress services, says all existing and new customers can choose to upgrade to PHP 7, which it says provides "dramatically improved" website performance, at a speed of two to three times faster than prior versions. WP Engine says it is also offering up a "compatibility checker" plug in to help its customers make sure their WordPress installs will property work after an upgrade. WordPress is the most popular software package for hosting blog sites.
