Nomad Health Launches Freelance Marketplace For Doctors In Texas

Nomad Health, a startup developing online marketplaces to connect doctors with freelance clinical work, says it has launched in Texas today, as part of an expansion of its marketplace services. The company, which also launched in California, said its marketplace address severe doctor shortages. The company is venture backed by First Round Capital, RRE Ventures, and .406 Ventures, and is based in New York. Nomad Health said that Texas has 35 counties with no practicing doctors at all, and 80 more counties have 5 or fewer doctors.
