CyrusOne Ramps Outreach To US Government Market

Dallas-based data center operator CyrusOne is further extending its outreach into the government market, saying today that it has inked a strategic partnership with Innovative Management Concepts (IMC). According to CyrusOne, it has been added to IMC's GSA schedule, which will allow government agencies to procure CyrusOne services, including data center hosting and cloud management. IMC will also gain footprint in CyrusOne's Northern Virginia, Sterling V data center. CyrusOne said the deal will help it serve the U.S. Government agency market. General Services Agency (GSA) schedule listings make it far easier for government agencies to buy and purchase products and services, allowing them to bypass the usually cumbersome competitive bid process, and purchase "off the shelf" services and products directly.
